“Photography and especially capturing ‘beauty’ is something many people feel is easy or intuitive. It’s not. It’s not easy to get it all right – the lighting, the background, the face, the mood, all of that. I call it the ‘curvature of portraits.’ I try to bring a light touch to all of these things. To bend them without them feeling the photographer’s pressure. Let’s face it, the most beautiful portraits tend to be natural. They tend to be happening spontaneously. That’s what I try to capture. That’s real beauty.”
